A Fool's Progress - Launch pad

I havent posted much on ow the bike has progressed and my planning for the trip. Let's just say I got a lot done.

Tonight I really feel like it is going to happen. This is a bit premature, but I have transited from the planning phase to the launch phase. I put the final touches on the bike. I did a needle adjust suggested by a wrench I know. I got the idle and mix just...so. I adjusted the points gap, checked the timing and retorqued the heads. I fiddled with the lights and set up the highway pegs. The gear is piled and ready for sorting. Now that I have downed the tools I can sort through the stuff to take. But my companion and home for the whole month is ready as can be.

I'm as jumpy as a fourteen year old boy in a whorehouse. I keep thinking of things I need to pack or get. I remembered I should take a spare alternator belt because this is a new alternator rig and I cant tell if it wearing normally or not. At this rate I'm gonna pack the entire spares room from Moto International with me.

But really the only important thing left is to get the cash and traveler's checks from the bank.
