Tires
SO I went looking for tires. I favor Maxxis Classics in whitewall. I have to use two fronts since the wheels are both the same size. No worries, just use the tire "backwards" on the rear.
I also like to get my hoops from SWMoto Tires. They dont have them. So I sent a mail. Now I know Blaine is a bit terse and just prefers you to order them damned things and wait. I can understand that. I mailed asking if the classics would be carried any time soon. He came back saying they were too poor a quality. Odd, considering the c6006 seems to be a good enough tire to sell.
Whatever, I'm not gona argue, just keep shopping. Now I cant remember where I got the last set from. I think it was Tires unlimited.
Anyhow, I dig the Classics. They fit, they roll and unlike other inexpensive hoops they actually *wear* and so provide grip. So I can get Dunlops (not a fave brand with me) for 95 bucks per. Or Maxxis for 65. That means a pair for the bike and a third to be sent to philly to wait for me and get mounted there for the same dough.
